Seagate seeking Software Engineer – Automation with Sound programming knowledge in C and Python scripting, shell script and other scripting languages, having Good understanding of manual and automated testing.

Job Designation : Software Engineer – Automation

Qualification :  Bachelor’s degree

Experience : Freshers

Skill Set :

1. Sound programming knowledge in C and Python scripting, shell script and other scripting languages.
2. Good understanding of manual and automated testing.
3. Good understanding of RAID based storage system architectures.
4. Strong Programming skills in UNIX environment.
5. Understanding of storage media types, and communication media.
6. Understanding of protocols, typical capacity, throughput and latency values, failure modes.
7. Familiarity with IO generation tools.
8. Excellent troubleshooting skills.
9. Understanding of industry software test processes and practices.
10.  Ability to showcase passion and commitment for testing, validating, and problem-solving.
11. Showcasing positive attitude and ability to collaborate with team members.
12. Ability to take initiatives and be ambitious with each task given to them.

Job Description :

1. Understand the design details of the storage system in test perspective.
2. Work closely with the Development team to understand the product architecture and implementation.
3. Develop and execute test cases as per the test plan.
4. Generate test reports.
5. Collaborate with development teams to ensure full integration of all parts of the system.
6. Assist with maintaining engineering laboratory and equipment.
7. Automate the test cases.
8. Develop test infrastructure and framework.
