Skill Set :

1. Proficient in SQL programming, Debugging, Performance tuning, Database Design, Table schema.
2. Good knowledge on Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL.
3. Strong knowledge of Relational Databases Management Systems (RDBMS) concepts.
4. Familiarity with database management systems and database design principles.
5. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies.
6. Familiar with scripting languages, such as Python or Perl.
7. Experience in performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
10. Excellent communication skills to effectively interface with Client.

Job Description :

As a SQL DBA, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our database systems – production and test environments. You will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the databases, while also working closely with the development and IT support teams to optimize SQL queries and maintain data integrity.

1. Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases.
2. Backup and disaster recovery activities – copy, replicate, periodic DR testing.
3. Should be doing the required replications to ensure high availability, data sync.
4. Server clustering and scheduled backup, Server mirroring.
5. Monitor database performance and optimize SQL queries for efficiency.
6. Perform regular backups and disaster recovery planning.
7. Troubleshoot database issues and coordinate with developers for resolution.
8. Implement and enforce security best practices to protect sensitive data.
9. Collaborate with IT support and development teams on database-related projects.
10. Develop and maintain documentation for database procedures and processes.
11. Stay up to date with the latest database trends and technologies.
12. Configuring Azure services to meet the needs of the organization.
13. Designing and managing swap space in the cloud environment.
14. Maintaining azure profiles and subscriptions.
15. Setting up private and public cloud environments.
16. Balancing and deploying workloads.
17. Implementing and managing cost-effective cloud systems.
