About Me
I am Aman Yadav 4th-year B.Tech student majoring in Computer Science and Engineering (2021-25) at the Indian Institute of Information Technology,Senapati, Manipur, I have developed a solid foundation in cybersecurity, networking, and software development with AI/ML. I have built a strong foundation in cybersecurity, networking, software development, and artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML). My recent internship at Bharti Airtel Ltd., coupled with my leadership role as the Cybersecurity Lead at IIIT Manipur, has provided me with valuable hands-on experience and a research-oriented mindset, making me a strong candidate for this role.
During my internship at Bharti Airtel Ltd., I delved into networking principles and application security fundamentals. My contributions included security updates, patch management, and conducting rigorous code reviews and static analysis to ensure robust security practices. This experience not only enhanced my understanding of critical cybersecurity concepts like Ethernet, IPv4, and IPv6 but also allowed me to approach security challenges with a research-oriented perspective, particularly through the lens of CTF challenges and the application of security headers.
As the Cybersecurity Lead at IIIT Manipur, I spearhead a club dedicated to advancing cybersecurity knowledge among students. I have organized workshops, seminars, and CTF competitions to cultivate a strong security culture within the institution. This role has also sharpened my soft skills in leadership, public speaking, and adaptability—qualities that are essential for conducting and presenting research findings effectively.
My technical skills encompass a deep proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and PHP, along with experience in frameworks like Flask. I have extensively worked with MySQL for database management and possess a solid grasp of libraries including Pandas, Numpy, and TensorFlow. My coursework in networking, data structures, algorithms, and AI/ML, combined with certifications in Ethical Hacking and Computer Networking, has prepared me to address complex cybersecurity and research challenges.
One of my most significant projects involved developing a Malicious URL Detection system using an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and applied Adversarial learning using LSTM. This project not only enhanced my practical skills but also allowed me to explore and implement research-driven methodologies, including URL analysis, regular expression detection, and the prevention of ReDoS attacks. The project demonstrated my ability to apply machine learning techniques to solve real-world cybersecurity problems.

Bachelor's of Technology
I am pursuing a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Computer Science and Engineering at IIIT Manipur. My coursework encompasses a strong foundation in core areas such as algorithms, data structures, operating systems, computer networks, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. Through hands-on projects and research, I have developed expertise in programming languages like C++, Python, and PHP, as well as frameworks such as Flask and tools like TensorFlow. My education has equipped me with a solid understanding of networking protocols, ethical hacking, and AI/ML applications, which I have applied in real-world contexts, including my role as Cybersecurity Lead and various internships. This rigorous program has not only honed my technical and analytical skills but also cultivated my ability to address complex challenges through innovative solutions. It has also fostered a keen interest in the intersection of cybersecurity, AI, and privacy, which I continue to explore through my projects and internships.

I completed my intermediate education with a focus on Science, specializing in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. This phase laid the groundwork for my analytical and problem-solving abilities, providing me with a strong understanding of core scientific principles and their applications. During this time, I developed a deep interest in technology and computing, which motivated me to pursue a career in Computer Science and Engineering. I actively participated in academic projects, science fairs, and competitive exams, further honing my skills and curiosity for innovative solutions. The rigorous academic environment and emphasis on practical learning during my intermediate education significantly shaped my critical thinking and adaptability, preparing me for higher studies in a technical field.
Work & Experience
Networking Intern
During my networking internship at Bharti Airtel Ltd., I acquired an in-depth understanding of networking principles and their applications in cybersecurity. I developed proficiency in Ethernet, IPv4, and IPv6 protocols, which enhanced my ability to optimize and secure network communications. My role involved actively monitoring and configuring firewalls and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) to strengthen network security, as well as providing technical support to diagnose and resolve network issues, ensuring high reliability and efficiency. I gained hands-on experience working with diverse networking equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, which deepened my practical knowledge of configuring and managing complex network infrastructures. This experience significantly bolstered my technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and ability to optimize network operations in real-world scenarios.
Cybersecurity Intern
During my cybersecurity internship at Bharti Airtel Ltd., I gained an in-depth understanding of security fundamentals and their application in protecting digital systems. I contributed to enhancing application security through the implementation of measures like configuring security headers and managing patch deployments. My role involved conducting comprehensive code reviews and static analysis to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, ensuring a robust security posture. Additionally, I managed security updates and patch deployment processes, providing consistent protection against evolving threats. To further hone my practical skills, I participated in Capture The Flag (CTF) challenges, applying theoretical knowledge to tackle real-world security scenarios. This internship significantly enhanced my technical expertise and prepared me to address complex cybersecurity challenges effectively.
Cybersecurity Club Lead
Since June 2022, I have been serving as the Cybersecurity Lead at IIIT Manipur, having initially held the position of Co-Lead for one year. In this role, I have overseen a dynamic community of over 300 members, fostering a collaborative learning environment and driving the club's growth and impact. I have organized workshops and events aimed at promoting cybersecurity awareness and skill development, including hands-on practice sessions with tools such as Nmap, Burp Suite, and API testing. Additionally, I played a key role in organizing a cybersecurity workshop at the college, helping to enhance participants' practical knowledge and understanding of core cybersecurity concepts. This leadership experience has strengthened my organizational, technical, and mentoring abilities.
