I am Aman Yadav 4th-year B.Tech student majoring in Computer Science and Engineering (2021-25) at the Indian Institute of Information Technology,Senapati, Manipur, I have developed a solid foundation in cybersecurity, networking, and software development with AI/ML. I have built a strong foundation in cybersecurity, networking, software development, and artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML). My recent internship at Bharti Airtel Ltd., coupled with my leadership role as the Cybersecurity Lead at IIIT Manipur, has provided me with valuable hands-on experience and a research-oriented mindset, making me a strong candidate for this role.
During my internship at Bharti Airtel Ltd., I delved into networking principles and application security fundamentals. My contributions included security updates, patch management, and conducting rigorous code reviews and static analysis to ensure robust security practices. This experience not only enhanced my understanding of critical cybersecurity concepts like Ethernet, IPv4, and IPv6 but also allowed me to approach security challenges with a research-oriented perspective, particularly through the lens of CTF challenges and the application of security headers.
As the Cybersecurity Lead at IIIT Manipur, I spearhead a club dedicated to advancing cybersecurity knowledge among students. I have organized workshops, seminars, and CTF competitions to cultivate a strong security culture within the institution. This role has also sharpened my soft skills in leadership, public speaking, and adaptability—qualities that are essential for conducting and presenting research findings effectively.
My technical skills encompass a deep proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and PHP, along with experience in frameworks like Flask. I have extensively worked with MySQL for database management and possess a solid grasp of libraries including Pandas, Numpy, and TensorFlow. My coursework in networking, data structures, algorithms, and AI/ML, combined with certifications in Ethical Hacking and Computer Networking, has prepared me to address complex cybersecurity and research challenges.
One of my most significant projects involved developing a Malicious URL Detection system using an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and applied Adversarial learning using LSTM. This project not only enhanced my practical skills but also allowed me to explore and implement research-driven methodologies, including URL analysis, regular expression detection, and the prevention of ReDoS attacks. The project demonstrated my ability to apply machine learning techniques to solve real-world cybersecurity problems.
