Module 5 · Build and publish a small tool Lesson 13 of 15
Putting a prompt inside a script
A prompt in a script can process a hundred rows the way a prompt in a chat processes one. The API call is a function: send the prompt, get text back, use the text.
Worked example
A loop that sends each row to the model and writes the cleaned result to a new column turns an hour of copy-paste into a minute of waiting.
Your practice task
Write a small script that sends one fixed prompt to a model with two different inputs and prints both answers.
Do this before moving on. Reading a solution teaches the shape of it; typing it teaches you.
Key takeaway
A prompt in a script can process a hundred rows the way a prompt in a chat processes one. The API call is a function: send the prompt, get text back, use the text.
