Module 1 · The job behind the job title Lesson 1 of 15
What a support queue really looks like
Tickets arrive faster than they can be closed, in three channels, with different urgency and the same person handling all of it. The job is deciding order and closing with one reply, not answering fast.
Worked example
A queue reopened three times because the first reply asked a clarifying question costs three times the handling time and shows up in the customer satisfaction score. One good reply beats four quick ones.
Your practice task
Describe your own last bad support experience — what you wanted, what you got, and the single sentence that would have fixed it.
Do this before moving on. Reading a solution teaches the shape of it; typing it teaches you.
Key takeaway
Tickets arrive faster than they can be closed, in three channels, with different urgency and the same person handling all of it. The job is deciding order and closing with one reply, not answering fast.
