Skill Set : 

  1. Deep understanding of programming languages C++, Python.
  2. Strong working knowledge of the Linux operating system.
  3. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google cloud).
  4. Strong background in data structures, algorithms, and debugging.
  5. Solid understanding of software infrastructure and geometry processing.
  6. Knowledgeable in parallelism, geometry processing or software infrastructure.
  7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Description :

The R&D Software Engineer will be part of a team which is responsible for design, and implementation of iso-geometric analysis (IGA) pre-processing functionality in support of the LS-DYNA solver. This role requires an analytical and curious mind with strong interest in mesh generation, computational geometry and numerical methods. The successful candidate can expect to be engaged in all stages of code and capability planning, research, creation and evolution of the IGA functionality, and to work closely with other members of the meshing software development team.

  1. Demonstrate a solid understanding of the code and the team’s software development processes.
  2. Work with manager and others to define and implement new capabilities.  Once projects are defined, the engineer should be able to deliver medium sized projects with minimal input from others.
  3. Diagnose and fix code problems.
  4. Deliver code that meets requirements on schedule.  Ensure that code is efficient, scalable, maintainable, extensible, robust and easy to understand.
  5. Optimize code to improve tool run time and memory capacity.
  6. Create unit, regression and/or system-level tests to thoroughly validate new features or changes.
  7. Communicate clearly and work closely with manager, technical leads and other engineers to refine solutions and to describe changes that may affect others.
  8. Understand and demonstrate best practices in software engineering.
  9. Be a source of expertise for others in the project team.
