Job Description :
As a software engineer working in firmware test for new product development you will be responsible for a broad range of engineering tasks. Our mission is to deliver to the market highly reliable products for which Emerson is well known and our customers demand. In support of that mission you will be responsible for test case planning, implementation, debugging and execution that verify embedded firmware functionality. Firmware design verification testing is critical to achieving the high-level of firmware quality demanded by customers.
- Participate in sprint planning
- Analyze, design, and implement test cases the maps to respective firmware requirements
- Develop automated tests in C#
- Develop and maintain Hardware test setups that are part of automated test enviroment
- Manage code changes using version control tools
- Participate in code reviews
- Execute test cases using continuous integration tools
- Debug failures in test execution and investigate the causes
- Log defects in project defined defect tracking tool
- Collaborate and coordinate with developers, other testers, Hardware and Mechanical teams
- Read and follow relevant project engineering practice and engineering standards documents
