GE Vernova hiring fresher Software Engineer with good programming knowledge in Angular and/or C# technologies and having sound knowledge of  HTML5, CSS3 and databases.

Experience : Freshers/ 0 – 2 year

Skill Set :

  1. Expertise with Angular and/or C# technologies.
  2. Good with web development using HTML5, CSS3.
  3. Good knowledge of databases (relational and noSQL).
  4. General understanding of the impacts of technology choice to the software development life cycle.
  5. Experience with modern tooling (VS Code, GitHub etc).
  6. Aware of methods and practices such as Lean/Agile/XP, etc.
  7. Prior work experience in an agile environment, or introductory training on Lean/Agile. Aware of and able to apply continuous integration (CI).
  8. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes will be a plus.
  9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Description :

Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, delivering and maintaining software applications & services. Working in the areas of machine, cloud, platform and/or application. Responsible for software lifecycle including activities such as requirement analysis, documentation/procedures and implementation.

  1. Collaborate with system engineers, frontend developers and software developers to implement solutions that are aligned with and extend shared platforms and solutions.
  2. Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques.
  3. Writes codes that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.
  4. Build features such as web services and Queries on existing tables.
  5. Understand performance parameters and assess application performance.
  6. Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using language of choice.
  7. Has the ability to break down problems and estimate time for development tasks.
  8. Understands the technology landscape, up to date on current technology trends and new technology, brings new ideas to the team.
  9. Displays understanding of the project’s value proposition for the customer. Shows commitment to deliver the best value proposition for the targeted customer.
  10. Learns organization vision statement and decision making framework. Able to understand how team and personal goals/objectives contribute to the organization vision.
