Skill Set :

  1. Solid knowledge of network security to include but not limited to LAN, firewall, server technology.
  2. Strong proficiency in Python programming for automation and scripting tasks.
  3. Experience with software development tools such as GitHub, Terraform, and other DevOps-related tools.
  4. Good understanding of security principles and best practices.
  5. Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration management.
  6. Process-oriented and analytical working style with high IT affinity, detail-oriented and quality-minded.
  7. Ability to understand and explain technical concepts both in technical and non-technical situations.
  8. Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong English language skills.
  9. Demonstrates advanced problem solving through independent thinking.
  10. Works positively and collaboratively with other IT teams, system administrators, developers, project managers and peers in a team-focused environment.
  11. Seeks occasional guidance on unusual circumstances, typically working with minimum supervision.
  12. Individually executes and delivers day-to-day work with high quality and effectiveness.
  13. Develops and implements operational improvements.
  14. Certifications like Certified DevOps Engineer or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus.

Job Description :

The ideal candidate will thrive in a work environment that requires strong problem-solving skills and independent self-direction, coupled with an aptitude for collaboration and open communication.

  1. Work with other internal IT teams such as security architecture, security engineering, development, and operations teams to automate issue resolution and release new capabilities.
  2. Collaborate with development teams to help integrate their developer tools with Zscaler as a security best practice.
  3. Utilize expertise in Python for scripting and automation to enhance team’s security processes.
  4. Manage and support the installation of software development tools, including GitHub, Python, Docker, and similar tools.
  5. Participate in the design and implementation of infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.
  6. Develop and maintain documentation for security procedures, configurations, and best practices.
  7. Respond to and mitigate security incidents, conducting post-incident analysis and recommending improvements.
  8. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance the organization’s security posture.
  9. Work on a cross-functional team using agile development principles to build and release new features and bug fixes to meet rapidly evolving business needs.
  10. Development tools installation expertise running on a MacBook and, Windows laptop.
