Skill Set :

1. Strong programming knowledge  in Java, COBOL, JCICS, Python, Golang.
2. Sound knowledge of Agile Application Development & Scrum methodologies.
3. Good understanding of Network Routing Protocols
4. Experience with structured Architecture practices, hybrid cloud and Cloud Network
5. Sound knowledge of Cloud Concepts – VPC, Subnet, Floating Ips
6. Experience in building, architecting, designing/implementing highly distributed global cloud-based systems.
7. Knowledge of technology solutions and ability to learn, understand and work quickly with new emerging technologies, methodologies and solutions in Cloud technology space.
8. Ability to deliver results and work cross-functionally. Ability to engage /influence audiences and identity expansion engagements.

Job Description :

An IBM Cloud Networking Software Development engineer will be the key individual responsible for end to end feature enablement across the orchestration layer. You will perform hands-on coding and mentor junior developers, working to increase the knowledge and performance of the collective team. In addition, you will interface with senior architects across several locations to ensure that the overall strategy is communicated and understood.

1. Understand product vision and business needs to define product requirements and product architectural solutions.
2. Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired product
3. Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility
4. Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards
5. Communicate successfully all concepts and guidelines to development team
6. Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc.
7. Collaborate with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications
8. Provide support for production escalations and problem resolution for customers.
9. Analyse requirements, design develop & maintain software products in alignment with the technology strategy of the organization
10. Participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, code and other artifacts. Ensure commitments are agreed, reviewed and met.
11. Learn new skills and adopt new practices readily in order to develop innovative and cutting-edge software products that maintain Company’s technical leadership position.
12. Plan, develop and manage the infrastructure to enable strategic and effective use of tools.
13. Lead the evaluation/evolution of tools/technologies/programs with input from internal teams, external developers.
14. Proactively identifying issues and improvement opportunities.
15. Directing resources to diagnose and resolve complex system, application software, security and related problems that impact system and availability.
