IBM  seeking fresher Software DevOps Engineer with good programming skills in C, C++, Java, Python, having sound knowledge of DevOps, Ops or Application Development and databases.

Job Designation : Devops Engineer

Qualification : Bachelor’s Degree

Experience : Freshers / Experienced

Skill Set :

  1. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and principles, experience in an Agile team
  2. Understanding of DevOps practices (Continuous Integration/Delivery/Monitoring/etc)
  3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  4. Ability to work with cross functional teams
  5. Willingness to work with the entire stack (from the database to containers to monitoring and alerting)
  6. Ability to write and review code and make decisions regarding technical implementations
  7. Demonstrate ability to learn new domains
  8. Experience working with developer tools like GitHub, VSCode, CI/CD pipelines
  9. Good understanding of relational and NoSQL databases like Db2, PostgreSQL, MongoDB etc.
  10. Experience using & building containers and containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift
  11. Proficiency in Python programming language and frameworks

Job Description :

  • Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of the backend systems.
  • Monitor, analyze, and support the application in production to identify and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to deploy and manage the application environment.
  • Write and maintain unit tests and conduct integration testing to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in backend development and database technologies.
  • Document technical specifications, code changes, and system architecture for future reference.
