Mastercard looking for fresher graduates with good programming skills in C, C++, Java, Python and having solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle ( SDLC ) for the role of Software Engineer – Backend Developer.

Job Designation : Software Engineer – Backend Developer

Salary : 18 LPA – 25 LPA

Qualification :  Bachelor’s / Master’s degree

Experience : Freshers – 2 years

Skill Set :

  1. Good programming skills in C, C++, Java, Python.
  2. Solid understanding and hands-on experience in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript (3.7.5), Gherkin, Spring Frameworks, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Web Flux, Lombok, microservices.
  3. solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle ( SDLC ).
  4. Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL, etc.
  5. Excellent knowledge of test-driven development.
  6. Familiarity with software development methodologies and release processes.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job Description :

  1. Works in an agile operating model, collaborating with other engineers, tech leads and other functions to deliver an exceptional user experience to our customers.
  2. Automates and simplifies team development, test, deployment, and operations processes.
  3. Works with new frameworks and technologies, assists with prototyping and proof-of-concepts, participates in code reviews, and helps ensure a high level of code quality from the team.
  4. Documents applications and can train new team members on how the team’s software is constructed, operated and fits into the bigger picture.
  5. Troubleshoots complex problems, determines root cause and permanently corrects.
  6. Provides support on activities such development environment management, establish required connectivity, provision developer access to various tools and resources.
  7. Understands the maintenance, operational and runtime characteristics of the platform software.
  8. Strives to improve operational metrics and overall platform performance.
