Skill Set :

1. Excellent coding skills in at least one of Go, Python, NodeJS, C/C++, Java, Scala
2. Expertise in automated software testing
3. Experience using cloud-based open source tools in Linux/Unix environments (GCP is a plus)
4. Strong CS fundamentals with a track record of writing production-quality code in a modern high-level programming language
5. Experience with distributed systems, scalable data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark,Kafka) and noSQL systems (e.g., HBase, Cassandra) are a plus.
6. Experience in AI/ML and distributed systems is a plus
7. Strong communication skills

The Ads Features and Data team plays a pivotal role in the optimization of recommendation algorithms by focusing on several key responsibilities. First and foremost, we meticulously scrutinize and validate the integrity of data, recognizing its fundamental importance in shaping the efficacy of the algorithms. Additionally, the team is dedicated to building robust event pipelines that are both scalable and efficient, encompassing vital stages such as data ingestion, processing, transformation, and optimized storage.

Our efforts extend to the development of reliable monitoring dashboards, ensuring swift identification and resolution of any potential issues that may arise. Furthermore, the team leverages machine learning techniques to acquire high-quality features, a process that ultimately bolsters the precision and effectiveness of ad recommendations. This comprehensive approach underscores the team’s commitment to maintaining data integrity, optimizing pipelines, and harnessing machine learning to enhance the overall performance of ad recommendations.

1. Design and develop systems that serve ad recommendations to over 300 million users
2. Develop and maintain scalable and efficient machine learning systems and pipelines for data processing, feature extraction, model training, and deployment.
3. Develop highly scalable feature pipelines aimed at ad prediction systems, which associate ads with users according to relevance, while maximizing revenue for ShareChat.
4. Improve system design and architecture to ensure high stability and performance
5. Build monitoring dashboards to keep a check on healthy functioning of critical services and jobs responsible for powering suggestions across different real estates on the application
6. Enhance team’s productivity and efficiency by contributing to modular code development, tools, libraries and easy to follow technical documents.
7. Collaborate with other teams to build tools and platforms to enhance ML engineering productivity
