Skill Set :

  1. Good knowledge in programming using Python/C#/Java or other languages.
  2. Proficient knowledge in any of database, SQL/PL-SQL, writing queries and RDBMS.
  3. Basic knowledge of Cloud technologies (e.g. Azure, AWS, Google).
  4. Understanding of reporting & data visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau.
  5. Experience in financial and alternative data Quantitative skills in data engineering, data science, machine learning, statistics and/or econometrics.
  6. Good problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
  7. Strong mathematical & numeracy skills.
  8. Strong analytical and communication skills.

Job Description :

  1. The candidate will be expected to conduct structured data and analysis on original and non-routine business problems in a timely, accurate and insightful manner and combine this analysis with their understanding of the projects at hand to provide a solution. In this role the intern will provide vital support in the data product development initiatives in Data Science and Modelling.
  2. The day-to-day job requires undertaking all of the activities associated with these efforts including data sourcing, data collation, data analysis, model running and results collation.
  3. The Intern will need to work independently/collaboratively under tight deadlines to consistently produce high quality work including data verification, data analysis results, presentation materials and interim deliverables, for which in all cases will have full accountability.
  4. Daily routine would require candidate to conduct from data foundational work to a systematic data product.
  5. Delivers high quality data collation/analysis work that meets the needs and expectations of project owner.
  6. Understand the definition of alternative data and the related insights it leads to the business opportunities.
  7. Quality check data using internal tools and resolve data defects.
  8. Keeps abreast of market, industry and regulatory developments that affect the approaches and techniques used in the analysis.
  9. Assist in ad-hoc research activities.
