S&P Global looking for Software QA Engineer Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to be a key player in planning, preparation and execution of tests for core application team.

Skill Set :

1. Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
2. Strong technical proficiency in automation tools and technologies such as Java, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber etc.
3. In-depth knowledge of SQL for data manipulation, querying, and validation.
4. Experience with API-based testing tools such as Postman and RestAssured.
5. Experience with Linux operating systems command-line tools.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
8. Experience in supporting test strategy activities, particularly in the integration of multiple applications and systems.
9. Demonstrated skill to proactively resolve issues and escalate appropriately.
10. Experience testing web-based and API-based systems for user experience issues.
11. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
12. Experience with Index/Benchmarks or Asset Management or Portfolio Investment modeling.
13. Experience with Market Data such as Equity, Forex, or Options asset classes preferred.

Job Description :

This role requires a seasoned QA analyst who works effectively, both independently as well as collaboratively, in a team environment. The candidate must be a delivery-focused person with financial applications experience and skills.

The candidate will assist with creating and executing test cases, automation of tests, gather test metrics, do deployments in the QA environment, co-ordinate production deployments and release planning.

1. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure thorough coverage of software functionalities, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand requirements, identify test scenarios, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
3. Utilize strong technical expertise in automation tools and technologies to design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
4. Proficient in performing manual testing of web-based and API-based applications with focus on complex scenarios and edge cases, to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
5. Analyze and troubleshoot issues, defects, and discrepancies, documenting and tracking them to resolution using issue tracking systems.
6. Develop and maintain SQL queries for data validation and verification.
7. Provide technical support and guidance to stakeholders regarding QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
8. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, and incorporating relevant knowledge into QA practices.
